Spring 2026 Queering Power group participants

Feedback from our past participants

“[This group is] a safe space to explore, practice and discover embodiment, safety and feelings without judgement. Holding spaciousness and compassion and play and building capacity to be in relationship to self and community with care.”

“[The group] awoke this desire for more somatics and vulnerability and authenticity that's been lacking for a long time. I'm so grateful for a chance to be more in my body and know there are others who want the same.”

“This group really made me slow down, especially during group, which is something that I really needed and struggled to do alone.”

“I am way more aware of my reactions and I'm also more aware of my lack of presence in certain places. I'm more aware of my tendency to conform to others' standards.”

“I was excited to show up for every session. I felt comfortable with the other members, I knew I was going to learn more about myself in ways that other therapies have missed the mark on. And I knew I was going to learn more about the systems I exist in and am a product of.

“Having guided practices that I could bring into my daily life has been very valuable. Understanding how my being is in relationship to the systems and people around me was also highly valuable and helps me to understand why I'm doing these practices.”

Why a queer affinity group?

“I could relax knowing I wouldn't be constantly misgendered and projected upon.”

“I felt safer. I was less on guard, which meant I could go deeper.”

“I felt safe to be me all the way. And celebrate queer excellence.”

Feedback on the facilitators

“D’s presence is gentle, welcoming, intentional, soft, authentic, and creative while also being confident and direct. I experienced Phillippe as authentic, attentive, intuitive, and reflected folk's sharing very well.”

“So grateful for the container and grounding, calm, playful presence. You wove the container effortlessly and beautifully together.”

“It was nourishing after not growing up with this language of care. And finally feeling a catharsis of an unmet need being met. I was able to express to each of my family some things I never had and it felt like doing deep inner child work. I felt the ripples impact my family. And my own self worth.”
